We are excited to invite you to participate in our Pacific Section AAPG virtual convention. The past year has been a challenge and anything but normal. We hope to return a smidge of normalcy to you as we present PSAAPG 2021: Hindsight is 2020. The committee has been working diligently to provide a great technical program and field trip that you can enjoy from the comfort of your home or office. We hope this year’s format allows you to tune in for a few hours while still tending to your daily duties. We missed seeing everyone last year and are happy to share some technical content intended for last year in addition to new speakers and a new virtual field trip.

Events will begin with a virtual field trip lead by Dr. Richard Behl on Monday evening. Tuesday morning through Thursday morning we’ll hear about the latest Monterey research, geochemistry and the role of machine learning in the study of petroleum systems, and a regulatory and environmental geology session. Wednesday evening you are invited to join us as we celebrate and honor some of Pacific Section’s best, brightest, and hard-working geoscientists in our Honors and Awards Happy Hour.
